First News Post: Generation V Starters!

I'll be reporting news from the Pokemon World to the best of my ability from now on, so let's start off this trend with a bang, shall we?

The Starter Pokemon for Generation V have been revealed in full!

For those who weren't aware, last week Japan'sPokemon Sunday, a kind of variety show that shows re-runs of old anime episodes, and reveals Pokemon exclusives, released an image showing the the silhouettes of the starters from the yet-to-be-released Pokemon Black and White versions (seen above). But now, the cat's out of the proverbial bag as the monthly Japanese manga magazine CoroCoro has printed (some would say, leaked) the full images in their latest issues. And (...drum roll...) heeeeeeeeere they are! Well actually, they're above this text, but they're SOOOOOOOO CUTE!

Anywho, background on these cute little devils. as usual, the trio consists of Fire, Grass, and Water type little guy. As it stands now, only the Japanese names are known: The Grass Type is named Tsutaaja, the "Grass Snake" Pokemon, the Fire Type is Pokabu, the "Fire Pig" Pokemon, and the Water Type is Mijumaru, the "Sea Otter" Pokemon.

  1. I agree. A metropolitan setting would most definitely make things more interesting.

And I'd like more than rodent and insect-based pokemon to call it home!

Maybe some surly homeless pokemon or something. I'd dig that.

    Great article, Professor!
